Everyone has a cubby in our classroom, including me. The kids do an art project to make their name signs for their own cubbies, and they informed me that I needed to make a proper sign for mine as well. India ink and dip pen, with watercolor.

Israel Sketchbook

At the last minute I decided to take a sketchbook to Israel. As luck would have it, and in spite of being very out of practice, I actually ended up using it a bit. All done in Pigma Micron pen and watercolor pencils.

My Christmas cards for this year. Each is 3"x4" in watercolor. This wasn’t all of them, but most.

Manzanita II

My favorite manzanita tree from my last trip. I didn’t work up the nerve to draw it when I was there, and the photograph unfortunately turn out to be difficult to draw from. I’d love to keep drawing manzanita trees, though, until I can finally do them justice. Pigma micron pen again, with actual watercolors this time.
